Then he
says, “In reality, most spiritual growth happens on a haphazard need-to-grow or
need-to-know basis. As life happens, we're suddenly confronted by the need for
personal growth or more biblical information in an area of life that up to now
hasn't seemed all that important.”
I have found
that to be so true in my own life. I remember when one truth that is a basic truth that I should have had a handle on I was
confronted on it by some others who didn’t have the same belief. And I couldn’t counteract what they were
saying so I went and made a major study on it.
The confrontation made me dig.
When I’m
searching for direction in my life I spend time searching for what God says
about it. I look at verses in the Bible
and read good books. So many areas of
growth in my life have come because of what was happening in my life at that
time.
How about
you?
