“We must replace our fearful, consuming thoughts with reminders of God’s faithfulness.”

A thought by Craig Groeschel from his book, Dare to Drop the Pose (p. 110). The Crown Publishing Group. Kindle Edition. (Click on the book title to go to Amazon.com to buy the book.) Sounds like a very beneficial thing to do.   It really does! Craig says, “Extreme skiing is a wild sport. The participants are talented, half-crazy athletes, known for flying down mountains at kamikaze speeds. With every outing, they risk becoming the new ‘agony of defeat’ guy, crashing head over heels, limbs bending every which way like a sadistic child’s Gumby doll. “Kim Reichhelm is one of the best and has miraculously escaped serious harm. Someone asked her once, ‘How do you keep from crashing?’ “Her answer, ‘I look at the spaces between the trees.’ Brilliant. Instead of looking at what she didn’t want to hit, she aimed her eyes where she wanted to go—away from danger, toward safety and success.” Craig goes on, “Similarly, instead of focusing on the worst-case scenarios—my natura

“God wants us to trust Him because as our faith expands, worry shrinks.”

Maybe you’re acquainted with this pastime. The rules are simple:                           Rule #1: You’re only allowed to think of worst-case scenarios.               Rule #2: You’re never allowed to win this game. You can only lose.               Rule #3: The more you play, the greater your losses. ” He

“If you feel insecure about your faltering prayer life, I’ve got great news for you: God’s waiting.”

A thought by Craig Groeschel from his book, Dare to Drop the Pose (p. 100). The Crown Publishing Group. Kindle Edition. (Click on the book title to go to Amazon.com to buy the book.) Yes, he is, he’s waiting! Craig says, “Right now. At this moment. He wants to reveal Himself to you, and He wants you to reveal your heart to Him. “Pray. Pray creatively, openly, honestly. Pray long. Pray short. Sigh. Sing. Dance. Cry. Shout. Pray in the morning. During the day and in the evening. Pray in the car, while working, while doing chores. Laugh with Him. Cry with Him. Experience His presence. Let your attitudes, thoughts, energy, focus, attention, desire, and love be directed toward the One who loves you. Like breathing air, allow moment-by-moment fellowship to become a way of life—starting this very moment. “Go ahead. Communicate.” Would you do that?   Would you do that beginning right now? Yes, yes!
